Kshama Meena from Kanchanpura village in Kherli lives with her husband, Shersingh, and their son. Her husband does daily wage farm labour on other people’s fields as the family does not own any agricultural land. Since work is not available regularly, the family’s income remains unstable.

Kshama is a B.Sc. graduate and has always wanted to use her education and skills to start her own livelihood. While working as a labourer, she often thought about becoming self-reliant, but lack of financial resources prevented her from starting a business.
